• Will G. Farrell was co-founder of the Life Insurance Committee of the L.A. Chamber of Commerce.
  
  
• He was distinguished throughout his life of dedicated service to the public welfare without expectation of reward.
  
  
• In recognition of his renowned career in the life insurance business and his years of devotion to public service Title Insurance and Trust Company in 1949, donated the Will G. Farrell Public Service trophy to the Life Insurance Committee of the L.A. Chamber of Commerce.
  
  
• In 1974 a full sponsorship was assumed by the Los Angeles County Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals – FSP (formerly the American Society of CLU, ChFC) and NAIFA Los Angeles, (formerly Los Angeles Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  In 2023, FSP has officially merged with NAIFA.

Criteria:

• The Will G. Farrell Trophy may be awarded only once each year to a member of the life insurance industry in Southern California or someone closely associated with the life insurance industry in the State of California who is distinguished in her/his own industry and who has demonstrated unselfish service to others in and out of the industry.
  
  
• Only members in good standing of NAIFA-Los Angeles may nominate a candidate.
